It's Good to be back

Its good to be back in blogworld. When i was leader of the City of Edinburgh Council I kept a blog and found it both liberating and frustrating. Liberating because I could say things there that I was sometimes otherwise restricted from articulating. Frustrating because I never got into the rhythm of building “blogtime” into my day and so I never felt that I made the best of my blogging potential...

Then along came the elections in May this year, a mere 9 months after my election as Leader and my blog became both a very effective campaign tool and a level of personal exposure that I found at times exhausting. So after the elections I took a break from blogging but now I am back, ready to re-enter the blogosphere and hear what its residents have to say about life, the world and all things real and virtual.
