Where we are and where we will be

Where we are and where we will be
The idea of Edinburgh is a combination of place, soul and symbolic leadership of a nation

Wednesday 5 December 2007

The Festivities have officially begun!

I had the delight of once again “MC “ing the annual Lochend, Restalrig and Craigentinny Christmas tree lights “switch-on” last night.

As ever there was a huge turnout to sing Carols and Christmas songs led by the wonderful joint choir from St Ninian’s and Craigentinny Schools, hear prayers and blessings and take part in the ubiquitous count-down to the switch on. The switch on was done by two local pupils Chloe and Mark who did a great job and were delighted with their selection box fee!

It was a great community event with lots of laughter and a great start the Festive season. Thanks to everyone who made it happen.
