At the Policy and Strategy committee there was another insight to the fragile nature of the SNP/LibDem coalition. This time over school meals.
A comment about school meal costs exposed the the Libdem half of the coalitions intention to remove hot meals on a Friday (when we have a half day in Edinburgh) as a budget saving. The SNP half was not impressed and went on at length about how this was an unacceptable policy decision.
Given that we have only provided packed lunches on Fridays in primary schools for some time now it would be appear that the SNP half is not well informed on matters nutritional whilst the Libdems seem intend on just not informing their alleged partners what they are up to
