Words that trancend time and our own timidity

As another Burns night slips away, I can't resist repeating these famous words of his that demand that we all remember that whatever our own agenda, passion or beliefs, our common humanity should matter most when thinking of the needs of others

"then let us pray that come it may
As come it will for a' that
That sense and worth, o'er a' the earth,
May bear the gree, and a' that.
For a' that, and a' that,
That man t man, the warld o'er
shall brothers be for a' that
